COBOURG PENINSULA ABORIGINAL LAND, SANCTUARY AND MARINE PARK (REHABILITATION AREAS) BY-LAWS 2001
By-laws under the Cobourg Peninsula Aboriginal Land, Sanctuary and Marine Park Act 1981
These By-laws may be cited as the
(1) The Board may declare:
(a) an area within the sanctuary or the marine park to be a rehabilitation area; and
(b) the action that is, or the actions that are, prohibited within the area to persons who are not members of the group.
(2) The Board is to ensure that a rehabilitation area is clearly sign posted indicating:
(a) that the area is a rehabilitation area;
(b) the action that is, or the actions that are, prohibited within the area to persons who are not members of the group;
(c) the boundaries of the rehabilitation area; and
(d) the penalty for breaching these By-laws.
(3) A person does not commit an offence against these By-laws unless the rehabilitation area is sign posted in accordance with clause (2).
A person who is not a member of the group must not:
(a) take an action that is prohibited; or
(b) cause or permit another person who is not a member of the group to take an action that is prohibited,
within a rehabilitation area.
Penalty: 5 penalty units.
