Coastal Protection Amendment (Code

of Practice) Regulation 2013

Coastal Protection Act 1979

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Coastal Protection Act 1979.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to update references to a Code of Practice specified in the Coastal Protection Regulation 2011. That Regulation provides that requirements specified in the Code of Practice must be complied with in relation to:

(a)	the placement, maintenance and removal of temporary coastal protection works, and
(b)	orders to remove material, structures and temporary coastal protection works on beaches, and
(c)	the restoration of land after the removal of material, structures and temporary coastal protection works.

This Regulation is made under the Coastal Protection Act 1979, including sections 55P (2) (f), 55R (1) (d), 55VC (1) (b), 55ZA (3) (b), 55ZC (5) (b) and 60 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Coastal Protection Amendment (Code of
Practice) Regulation 2013.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

Omit “December 2012” from the definition of Code of Practice in clause 3 (1).
Insert instead “August 2013”.
