2 Coal Mining (Highwall Mining) No. 177, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This order in council may be cited as the Coal Mining (Highwall Mining) Order 1993 . ˙ Definition 2. In this order— “highwall mining” means mining conducted by remote controlled equipment that drives an underground excavation into the wall of an open-cut excavation. ˙ Highwall mining declared to be open-cut coal mining 3.
