This rule may be cited as the Coal Mining (General Rules for Open-cut Coal Mines) Amendment Rule (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Rule amended 2. This rule amends the Coal Mining (General Rules for Open-cut Coal Mines) Rule 1988 . ˙ Amendment of s 6.7 (Appointment of shotfirers, shotfirers’ assistants and trainee shotfirers) 3. Section 6.7(1)(b)— omit, insert— ‘(b) —holds (i) an open-cut examiner’s certificate under the Act; or (ii) the qualifications necessary to obtain a shotfirer’s licence under the ExplosivesRegulation1955 in a category appropriate to the work to be performed at the mine.’.
