B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. This Act may be cited as " The Coal Mining Acts Short title Amendment Act of 1949," and shall be read as one with and . *" The Coal Mining Acts, 1925 to 1948," hereinafter constructlOn. referred to as the Principal Act. Section 70A of the Principal Act is amended as Amendments follows :_ of 8. 70A. (a) The word" two" in the said section is repealed and the word" three" is inserted in lieu of such repealed word; (b) The following words are inserted after the word " Queensland " where such word occurs at the end of the second paragraph of the said section, namely :- " and may be exercised by anyone of the persons duly appointed as aforesaid as a .miners' check inspector ". 3.
