Act N o . 2 9 , 1980 .

An Act to amend the Coal Mines Regulation Act, 1912, with respect to the procedure at inquests concerning certain deaths occurring in or about coal mines. [Assented to, 16th April, 1980.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Coal Mines Regulation

(Coroners) Amendment Act, 1980".

2.       (1) Except as provided in subsection ( 2 ) , this Act shall

commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall commence on the day appointed and

notified under section 2 (2) of the Coroners Act, 1980.

3.      The Coal Mines Regulation Act, 1912, is amended—

(a) by omitting from the matter relating to Division 1 of Part III in section 3 (1) the matter "66" and by inserting instead the matter "67";

(b) by omitting section 66.
