AN ACT to amend the Coal Mines Regula-
tion Act, 1902.

| This Act may be cited as the Coal Mines Regulation Act, | Short title. |
1915, and shall be read as one with the Coal Mines Regulation
Act, 1902, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

| The paragraph numbered subsection (4) as aforesaid is amended by inserting after the words " first class," in the first line thereof, the words " or second class," and by inserting after the word " manager," in the third line thereof, and- in paragraph (b) thereof, respectively, the words " or under manager." | (3). |
3. Subsection (2) of section twenty-four of the principal Act Amendment of

| Amendment of | 4. Subsection (2) of section seventy-two is amended by adding |
| Section 72. | thereto the following words :— |
" The obligation to contribute to and the right to receive the " benefits of the said fund shall extend to check-weighers " appointed under section thirteen and to persons " appointed to inspect mines under Rule fifty in the " Schedule to this Act, and the provisions of this sub- " section shall apply to check-weighers and such persons " accordingly."
