AN ACT to amend the Coal Mines Regula-

tion Act, 1902.

liament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows

This Act may be cited as the Coal Mines Regulation Act, Short title.

1915, and shall be read as one with the Coal Mines Regulation

Act, 1902, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. Section twenty-one of the principal Act is amended as Amendment of

follows :-- Section 21

The figure (4) is inserted at the beginning of the paragraph

next following paragraph (c) of the proviso to subsection

The paragraph numbered subsection (4) as aforesaid is amended by inserting after the words " first class," in the first line thereof, the words " or second class," and by inserting after the word " manager," in the third line thereof, and- in paragraph (b) thereof, respectively, the words " or under manager." (3).

3.      Subsection (2) of section twenty-four of the principal Act Amendment of

Amendment of 4. Subsection (2) of section seventy-two is amended by adding

Section 72. thereto the following words :—

" The obligation to contribute to and the right to receive the " benefits of the said fund shall extend to check-weighers " appointed under section thirteen and to persons " appointed to inspect mines under Rule fifty in the " Schedule to this Act, and the provisions of this sub- " section shall apply to check-weighers and such persons " accordingly."
