COAL MINERS' WELFARE.

No. 3 of 1968.

AN ACT to amend the Coal Miners' Welfare Act, 1947-1961, and to validate certain payments made from The Coal Miners' Welfare Fund.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Coal Miners' and citation.

Welfare Act Amendment Act, 1968.

(2) In this Act the Coal Miners' Welfare Act, 1947-1961, is referred to as the principal Act.

The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Coal Miners' Welfare Act, 1947-1968.

section twenty-two a section as follows-

Any payments made by the Board from the Fund before the coming into operation of the Coal Miners' Welfare Act Amendment Act, 1968, for or towards any purpose connected with the provision of amenities other than those to which subsection (1) of section sixteen of this Act refers, shall be deemed to have been lawfully made by the Board for the purposes of carrying out the duties and functions imposed on it by this Act. .
