AN ACT to amend the Coal Miners' Welfare

Act, 1947-1957.

[Assented to 20th October, 1961.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Coal and citation,

Miners' Welfare Act Amendment Act, 1961.

(2) In this Act the Coal Miners' Welfare Act,

1947-1957, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Coal Miners' Welfare Act, 1947-1961.

Commence-

ment. 2. This Act shall come into operation on a day

to be fixed by proclamation.

amended. 3. Section nine of the principal Act is amended

by repealing paragraph (b) of subsection (2) and

re-enacting it as f ollows:—

(b) one shall be the President of the Coal Miners' Industrial Union of Workers of Western Australia, Collie.
