AN ACT to amend the Coal Mine Workers (Pensions)
Act, 1943-1972.
[Assented to 18th October, 1973.1
RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent " Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Coal Mine PLI:ViTtlieon.
Workers (Pensions) Act Amendment Act, 1973.

Section 2
| amended. | 2. Section 2 of the principal Act is amended |
| (a) | by adding after paragraph (k) of the interpretation "Mine worker" the follow- ing paragraph |
(1) "Mine worker" also includes on and after the passing of the Coal Mine Workers (Pensions) Act Amendment Act, 1973 a person who is employed to cut timber for deep mines by an owner whose principal business con- sists of the supply of timber for the timbering of deep coal mines. ;
and
| (b) | by adding after the word "coal" in line eighteen of the definition "Owner" the words "or whose principal business con- sists of the supply of timber for the tim- bering of deep coal mines". |
