For the purposes of the first such adjustment the annual rate of the said age pension shall be the sum of one hundred and ten pounds and ten shillings. 1948. MINING. Coal and Oil, Etc. ( Pensions) , Etc. , Act. 317 of the Commonwealth passed in amendment of or substitution for that Act) to a widow qualified under paragraph (b) of subsection one of section sixty of that Act is increased the annual rate of each and every pension payable under section nine of this Act to any widow of a person or mineworker ( being a person or mineworker specified in section nine of this Act) , or to any female in respect of whom such a person or mine worker, if he had remained alive, would have been entitled to an addition to a pension under paragraph ( c) of subsection one of section eight of this Act, shall . braeteadajussutmed eqbuyaladtodinthge tipncrseuacshe liansttmheenatnionnueadl raantneuoafl the said widow' s pension payable under the said Act of the Commonwealth. For the purpose of the first such adjustment the annual rate of the said widow's pension shall be the sum of ninety- six pounds and four shillings. ( c) Any increase in the weekly amount of any pension or addition to a pension made pursuant to an adjustment of the annual rate thereof under this subsection shall be payable to the person entitled to that pension or addition on and from the commencement of the first complete period of fourteen days occurring after the date of that adjustment for which such pension or addition is payable as prescribed. ( d) For the purposes of this subsection the annual rate of any pension or addition to a pension under this Act shall be fifty- two times the weekly rate thereof as prescribed by this Act. ( b) In subparagraph (ii. ) of the first paragraph of subsection three thereof the words " five- seventh parts " are repealed and the words " seven-ninth parts " are inserted in lieu of such repealed words.

( 2. ) Subsection three of section eighteen of the Principal Act as amended by this Act shall apply, on and from a date to be fixed by the Tribunal (which date the Tribunal is hereby authorised to fix) , as respects payments in respect of the Fund by the mine workers and owners respectively and every individual mine worker and individual owner shall be liable to contribute accordingly to the Fund : Provided that the provisions of section eighteen of the Principal Act as in force immediately prior to the passing of this Act shall continue in operation both as respects payments in respect of the Fund by the mine workers and owners respectively and as respects contributions by individual mine workers and individual owners to the Fund in respect of the period commenced on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fnoerxtty- perigehcetd, inagntdheednadtiengfixoend b(yantdheinTcrliubduinnagl) unthdeer tdhaiys Act.
