I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Co-operatives Legislation Amendment Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 4 June 1999 as the day on which that Act, except for Schedule 2 [2] and Schedule 4, commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This proclamation commences amendments to the following Acts on 4 June 1999: the

Co-operation Act 1923, the Co-operatives Act 1992, and the Co-operatives Amendment
Act 1997.

Schedule 2 [2] and Schedule 4 to the Act remain uncommenced. These provisions amend or relate to the Co-operative Housing and Starr-Bowkett Societies Act 1998,

which is not yet in force.
