AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Co-operative Societies Ordinance 1939-1972.

I THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of	, Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council,
hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of	Government

(Administration) Act 1910-1972.

CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ORDINANCE 1973

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Co-operative Societies

Ordinance 1973.*

(2) The Co-operative Societies Ordinance 1939-1972,f as amended

by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Co-operative Societies	Ordinance
1939-1973.

2. Section 14B of the Co-operative Societies Ordinance 1939-1972 is amended by omitting paragraph (a) of sub-section ( l ) and sub­ stituting the following paragraph:—

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

" (a) the prior mortgage is not in favour of the society, another registered building society, the Commissioner for Housing appointed in pursuance of the Housing Ordinance 1928-1969 or the Director of Defence Service Homes appointed in pursuance of the Defence Service Homes Act 1918-1973;".
