CO-OPERATION (AMENDMENT)

An Act to amend the Co-operation Act, 1923-1932, in certain respects ; to validate certain payments ; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 2nd April, 1935.]

BE it enacted b y t h e King 's Most Excellent Majesty, lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South b y and with t h e advice and consent of t he Legis­

Wales in Par l iament assembled, and by t h e au thor i ty of the same, as follows :—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the " Co-operation (Amendment ) Act, 1935 ."

(2) The Co-operat ion Act, 1923-1932, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Co-operation Act, 1923- 1935.

2. The Co-operation Act, 1923-1932, is amended by inser t ing next after section forty-eight the following new sect ion:—

A r u r a l society shall have and shall be deemed always to have had power to make contr i ­ but ions out of i ts funds to any organisa t ion or body, corpora te or unincorpora te , formed for the pu rpose of render ing services to or otherwise p romot ing the in te res t s of r u r a l i ndus t ry or of improving the

conditions of r u r a l life.
