AN ACT to amend the Closer Settlement Act,

1927-1945.

[Assented to 18th December, 1953.]

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Closer	Short title
and citatio n.

Settlement Act Amendment Act, 1953.

(2) In this Act the Closer Settlement Act, 1927- Act No. 21 of 1927 as amended by Act No. 12 of 1945,

1945,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Closer Settlement Act, 1927-1953.

2. Paragraph (a) of section six A of the principal 2adeci.

Act is amended—	S. 6A was
added by

(a)

by substituting for the word, "or" in line Mr:5'Z. an officer"; and

(b) by deleting the words, "one shall be the Director of Land Settlement" in lines six and seven.
