912 Clean Waters Act Amendment Act 1982, No. 69 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Clean Waters Act Amendment Act 1982. (2) In this Act the CleanWaters Act1971-1981 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the CleanWaters Act1971-1982. 2. Commencement . (1) Section 1 (1) and this section shall commence on the day on which this Act is assented to for and on behalf of Her Majesty. (2) This Act, other than section 1 (1) and this section, shall commence on a date to be fixed by Proclamation. 3. Amendment of s. 12 . Membership of Council . Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (1)- (i) omitting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:- " (a) the Director of Local Government or his nominee, who shall be, ex officio, Chairman; "; (ii) omitting subparagraph (i) of paragraph (c) and substituting the following subparagraph:- " (i) Queensland Water Resources Commission; "; (iii) omitting subparagraph (i) of paragraph (ca) and substituting the following subparagraph:- " (i) Division of Dairying and Fisheries, Department of Primary Industries;"; (b) omitting subsection (IA) and substituting the following subsection:- " (1A) A nominee of the Director of Local Government shall be an officer of the Department of Local Government and may continue as such nominee only so long as he continues to be an officer of that Department.".
