An Act to make further provisions with respect to members of the Air Pollution Advisory Committee and sub-committees thereof; for this purpose to amend the Clean Air Act, 1961 ; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 19th Novem-

T>E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by •*-* and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Cewmcil and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority »f the same, as follows: —•

1.      (1) This Act may be cited as the "Clean Air (Amend-

ment) Act, 1964".

(2) The Clean Air Act, 1961, as amended by this

Act, may be cited as the Clean Air Act, 1961-1964.

2. The Clean Air Act, 1961, is amended—

(a) by inserting at the end of subsection nine of section six the following new paragraph : —

(b) The office of an appointed member shall not, by reason of such member accepting or receiving any such fees and expenses, be deemed to be an office of profit under the Crown for the purposes of the Constitution Act, 1902, or any Act amending that Act.

(b) by inserting at the end of subsection four of section seven the following new paragraph : —

(b) The office of a member of a sub-committee shall not, by reason of such member accepting or receiving any such fees and expenses, be deemed to be an office of profit under the Crown for the purposes of the Constitution Act, 1902, or any Act amending that Act.
