CLEAN AIR.

No. 10 of 1967.

AN ACT to amend the Clean Air Act, 1964.

[Assented to 20th October, 1967.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Clean Air Act and citation.

Amendment Act, 1967.

(2) In this Act the Clean Air Act, 1964, is referred

to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Clean Air Act, 1964-1967.

amended. 2. Section eight of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by substituting for the word, "thirteen" in line two of subsection (1), the word, "fourteen";
(b)	by adding after the word, "Committee" being the last word in subsection (3), the words, "and one member shall be the person for the time being holding the office of State Mining Engineer"; and
(c)	by repealing paragraph (f) of subsection (4) and re-enacting it as follows

(f) a person so nominated by the Minister for Mines; .

amended.	3. Section sixteen of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the word, "seven" being the first word in paragraph (a) of subsection (5), the word, "eight".

amended 4. Section twenty of the principal Act is

amended

(a)	by substituting for the word, "six" in line one of paragraph (a) of subsection (2), the word, "seven";
(b)	by substituting for the word, "seven" in line one of subsection (3), the word "eight"; and
(c)	by adding after the word, "generally" being the last word in paragraph (f) of subsection (3), a passage as follows

(g) a person who is an inspector of mines under the Mines Regulation Act, 1946, nominated in writing by the Minister for Mines".
