CLEAN AIR ACT 1961 - REGULATION
(Relating to the prohibition of refuse burning)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Clean Air Act 1961, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 31 May 1990.
Amendments
2. The Clean Air (Control of Refuse Burning) Regulation 1958 is
amended:
(a)
by inserting at the end of clause 4 (3), in alphabetical order, the words:
Municipality of Woollahra.
(b)
by inserting in Part 2 of Schedule 1, in alphabetical order, the words "Shellharbour", "Strathfield" and ''Woollahra";
(c)
by inserting in Part 3 of Schedule 1, in alphabetical order, the word "Wyong";
(d)
by omitting from Part 2 of Schedule 2 the words "Shellharbour", "Strathfield" and "Woollahra";

(e) by omitting from Part 3 of Schedule 3 the word "Wyong".
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Clean Air (Control of Refuse
Burning) Regulation 1988 so as:
| (a) | to prohibit the burning of refuse (otherwise than for approved purposes or in an approved incinerator) within the Municipalities of Shellharbour, Strathfield and Woollahra and the Shire of Wyong; and |
| (b) | to allow the burning of domestic refuse in a home unit incinerator between the hours of 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. within the Municipality of Woollahra. |
