CLEAN AIR ACT 1961—REGULATION
(Relating to oxides of nitrogen emitted into the atmosphere by plant used for
the manufacture of tinted glass)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Clean Air Act 1961, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 11 January 1991.
Amendment
2. The Clean Air Regulations 1964 are amended by omittingRegulation 17 (2) (j) and by inserting instead the following paragraph:
(j) Any trade, industry or process emitting oxides of nitrogen:
The standard of concentration at the point of emission determined in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations of oxides of nitrogen in each cubic metre of residual gases after completion of the process and before admixture with air, smoke or other gases, must not exceed:
(i) the equivalent of 2.5 grams of nitrogen dioxide, except in the case of tinted glass manufacture carried on within the City of Campbelltown; or
(ii) the equivalent of 4.0 grams of nitrogen dioxide, in the case of tinted glass manufacture carried on within the City of Campbelltown.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to increase (from 2.5 to 4.0) the allowable
concentration (measured in grams per cubic metre at the point of emission) of
oxides of nitrogen produced during the manufacture of tinted glass in the City of
