of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows: |

read and construed as if there had been added thereto, in lieu continued until his death, removal, or resignation to serve at the salary upon which his retiring allowatice is to be calculated as
of the said proviso, the proviso following:-CL Provided also
that the amount of interest payable under this clause in any
case shall not exceed the amount which would have accrued as
compensation for service subsequent to the said thirty-first
aforesaid. | " |

non-classified officers who may be entitled to claim an allowance on
retirement.

therein: Provided that in any such case
the allowance to any such officer shall be liable tosuch deduction as the Governor may thinkfit, and that this section shall not apply to any resignation or
removal which has heretofore taken place.
