s1 2 s3 Civil Justice Reform (Postponement of Automatic Commencement) No. 70, 1999 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Civil Justice Reform (Postponement of Automatic Commencement) Regulation 1999 . ˙ Postponed commencement of uncommenced provisions 2.(1) In this section— “first postponed law” means the Civil Justice Reform Act 1998 , section 26 and schedule 1, other than schedule 1, items 20 and 22. “second postponed law” means the Civil Justice Reform Act 1998 — (a) the uncommenced provisions of part 3; and (b) section 27, other than to the extent it has already amended the Legal Practitioners Act 1995 ; and (c) the uncommenced provisions of schedule 2. (2) The period before automatic commencement, under the ActsInterpretationAct1954 , section 15DA(2), of the first postponed law is extended to the end of 1 May 2000. 1 (3) The period before automatic commencement, under the ActsInterpretation Act 1954 , section 15DA(2), of the second postponed law is extended to the end of 30 June 1999. 2 ˙ Expiry 3. This regulation expires on 3 May 2000. 1 The first postponed law now automatically commences on 2 May 2000. It amends the Small Claims Tribunal Act 1973. 2 The second postponed law now automatically commences on 1 July 1999. It amends the DistrictCourtAct1967, JusticeLegislation(MiscellaneousProvisions) Act 1996, Land Act 1994, Land Title Act 1994, Magistrates Courts Act1921 and Supreme Court Act 1995.
