AN ACT to amend section 3 of the Civil Aviation

(Carriers' Liability) Act, 1961-1970.

[Assented to 22nd September, 1976.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short; title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Civil and

Aviation (Carriers' Liability) Act Amendment Act,	citation.

(2) In this Act the Civil Aviation (Carriers' as approved for reprint

Liability) Act, 1961-1970 is referred to as the	24th March,
principal Act.	1971.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Carriers' Liability) Act, 1961-1976.

Commence-

ment. 2. Subject to subsection (2) of section 3 of this

Act, this Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, 1976.

Section 3

amended. 3. (1) Section 3 of the principal Act is amended

by deleting the interpretation "the Commonwealth

Act" and substituting the following interpretation

"the Commonwealth Act" means the Civil Aviation (Carriers' Liability) Act 1959 of the Commonwealth as amended and in force from time to time; .

(2) The amendment made by subsection (1) of this section does not apply in relation to an accident or occurrence that took place before the first day of July, 1976.
