1Name of Regulations

 These Regulations are the Civil Aviation Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 1).

2Commencement

 These Regulations commence on gazettal.

3Amendment of Civil Aviation Amendment Regulations 2001 (No. 4)

Schedule 1 amends the Civil Aviation Amendment Regulations 2001 (No. 4).

[1]Subregulation 4 (1)

substitute

  • (1)

    Despite the amendment of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 (CAR 1988) by Schedule 2:

    • (a)

      an authorisation given under regulation 137 of CAR 1988 before the commencement of these Regulations; or

    • (b)

      a permission given under regulation 259 of CAR 1988 before the commencement of these Regulations, being a permission relating to an unmanned free balloon to which Part 101 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1998 applies; or

    • (c)

      a permission given under regulation 260 of CAR 1988 before the commencement of these Regulations, being a permission relating to an unmanned fixed balloon or kite to which Part 101 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1998 applies; or

    • (d)

      a permission given under regulation 295 of CAR 1988 before the commencement of these Regulations;

continues to have effect according to its terms.
