These Regulations are the
Civil Aviation Amendment Regulations 2000 (No. 7) .
These Regulations commence on gazettal.
Schedule 1 amends the
Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 .
(regulation 3)
[ 1 ] Subregulation 2 (1), both definitions of air traffic
substitute
air traffic means aircraft:
(a) in flight; or
(b) operating on the manoeuvring area of an aerodrome.
[ 2 ] Subregulation 2 (1), definition of Air Traffic Control
substitute
air traffic control means:
(a) AA in its capacity as a provider of air traffic control services; or
(b) the Defence Force in its capacity as a provider of air traffic control services.
[ 3 ] Subregulation 2 (1), definition of air traffic control service
substitute
air traffic control service means a service provided for the purpose of:
(a) preventing collisions:
(i) between aircraft; and
(ii) on the manoeuvring area between aircraft and obstructions; and
(b) expediting and maintaining an orderly flow of air traffic.
Note The definition is essentially that in Annex 11,Air Traffic Services , to the Chicago Convention.
