His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the City of Sydney Act 1988.

Explanatory note

The City of Sydney Planning Regulation 1988 prescribes certain matters for the purpose of the definition of major development in section 31 of the City

of Sydney Act 1988. However, the City of Sydney Amendment Act 1997 made

various changes to that Act including the substitution of that definition. The
new definition has made the Regulation redundant.

The object of this Regulation is to repeal the City of Sydney Planning

Regulation 1988.

This Regulation is made under the City of Sydney Act 1988, including section 58 (the general regulation making power).

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 August 1997.

3     Repeal of City of Sydney Planning Regulation 1988

The City of Sydney Planning Regulation 1988 is repealed.
