AN ACT to amend the City of Perth (Rating

Appeals) Act, 1940.

[Assented to 30th December, 1954.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the City of Perth

(Rating Appeals) Act Amendment Act, 1954.

(2) In this Act the City of Perth (Rating Appeals)

Act, 1940.

Act No. 49 of 1940,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the City of Perth (Rating Appeals) Act, 1940-1954.

2. Section nine of the principal Act is amended Thicnded.

by substituting for the words "unfair or incorrect, he" in line eight of subsection (1) the words "not fair, or is unjust, inequitable or incorrect, whether by itself or by comparison with other valuations and rate assessments made by the council, such person".
