No. 73 of 1970.

AN ACT to amend the City of Perth Parking

Facilities Act, 1956-1969.

[Assented to 17th November, 1970.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the City of Perth

2. Section 8A of the principal Act is amended— g:r.it ent

(Use

(a) by deleting paragraph (a) of subsection (1) I tc;;fair g

and substituting the following paragraph—

(a) borrowing money-

(i)  with the approval of the Treasurer and the Minister, under and in accordance with the provisions of Division 2 of Part XXVI of the Local Government Act, 1960; or

(ii)   under and in accordance with the provisions of Division 3 of that Part of that Act,

for the purposes of exercising the powers conferred, and the perform- ance of duties and obligations imposed, upon the Council under this Act; ;

(b)	by substituting for the passage, "the pro- visions of Division 3" in line two of sub- section (2), the passage, "the provisions of Division 2 or 3"; and
(c)	by substituting for the words, "that Divi- sion" in line two of paragraph (b) of sub- section (2), the words, "those Divisions".

3. Subsection (1) of section 21 of the principal	Amendment
to s. 21.

Act is amended by adding after paragraph (k) the	(By-laws.)
following paragraph-

(ka) prohibiting the parking or standing of vehicles on land which is not a road or a parking facility, without the consent of the owner or person in occupation of the land; .
