AN ACT to amend the City of Perth Parking

Facilities Act, 1956-1958.

[Assented to 23rd November, 19611

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the City of Perth 21,Viat7,„

Parking Facilities Act Amendment Act, 1961.

In this Act, the City of Perth Parking Facilities Act, 1956-1958, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the City of Perth Parking Facilities Act, 1956-1961.

amended. 2. Section eleven of the principal Act is

amended by adding after the word, "Minister", being the last word in subsection (2), the passage, "but where the Minister makes a written request to the Council to appoint and set apart stands for the use of vehicles on, or to prohibit the standing or parking of vehicles on any portion of, any road or other place within a parking region, if the Council fails within fourteen days after the request is made to it to comply with such request, the Minister may so appoint and set apart such stands or so prohibit and for those purposes may abolish any metered space or stand provided or set apart by, and remove any meter or sign erected by, the Council under subsection (1) of this section.
