City of Perth (Leederville Park Lands) Act 1950

An Act to discharge certain Lands of the City of Perth from certain Trusts and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the came, as follows: — 

1.Short title

This Act may be cited as the City of Perth (Leederville Park Lands) Act 1950.

2.Discharge of Trust

All that piece of land containing 2 acres and 5 3/10th perches or thereabouts lying on the east side of Jersey Street and being portion of Swan Location 2124 and being part of the land comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 417 Folio 72 which stands registered under the Transfer of Land Act 1893 in the name of the City of Perth upon trust for the purposes of a municipal endowment is discharged from all trusts now affecting the said land.

3.Power to lease

The City of Perth is empowered from time to time to lease the land described in Section 2 of this Act in such manner and on such terms as the City of Perth may in its absolute discretion, subject to any obligation under the Local Government Act 1995, deem fit.
