2 City of Brisbane Amendment (No. 1) No. 24, 1994 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the City of Brisbane Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The City of Brisbane Regulation 1993 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Insertion of new ss 4 and 5 3. After section 3— insert— ˙ ‘Chief returning officer’s powers ‘4.(1) For the purpose of applying the ElectoralAct1992 to the Council’s 1994 triennial election, a reference to the Electoral Commission is a reference to the chief returning officer. ‘(2) This section expires on 26 May 1994. ˙ ‘Delegations ‘5.(1) The chief returning officer may delegate powers under the Act or this regulation to a returning officer. ‘(2) This section expires on 26 May 1994. ’.
