All Act to declare certain portions of land fronting* the Circular Quay to he vested in the Colonial Treasurer for the t ime being', to provide for the dedication of such lands or any portion thereof to wharfage and other public purposes, and for the forma tion of a street in lieu of the street now known as Queen-street. [l0th December, 1890.]

WH E R E A S t h e Commissioner for Ra i lways was by t h e " Circular directed to sell, subject to t he provisions in t he said A c t expressed, Q u a y L a n d Sale and Dedica t ion Act , 1888 ," authorized and
cer ta in port ions of land front ing t h e Circular Quay , a n d to form a n e w street in l ieu of the s t reet known as Queen-s t ree t : A n d whereas i t is expedient to repeal the said A c t and to vest t h e said port ions of land in the Colonial Treasurer for t he t ime being, subject to t h e r equ i rement s and directions hereinaf ter con ta ined : Re i t therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty , b y and wi th the advice and consent of the Legislat ive Counci l and Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and by the au thor i ty of t h e same, as follows :—

2. The several port ions of l and described in t he F i r s t Schedule here to are hereby declared to be vested in t h e Colonial Treasure r for t h e t ime be ing for an absolute estate in fee simple, to be held by h i m for and on behalf of H e r Majes ty , b u t wi th power to t h e Governor,
w i t h t he advice of t he Execu t ive Council , by notification in t he Gazette, and subject to any condit ions and provisions conta ined in
such notification, to dedicate any por t ion thereof for t he purposes of a Tire Br igade Stat ion, and to dedicate t he residue r ema in ing thereafter ,
wholly or in par t , for any purposes of W h a r f a g e or for other pub l i c
purposes .
3. As soon as pract icable after t he pass ing of this A c t t h e
Colonial Treasurer shall, in lieu of the street now k n o w n as Queen-
street, form and complete for traffic a new street according to a p lan
to be approved by the Governor , w i th t h e advice aforesaid, and the
Mun ic ipa l Council of t he city of Sydney. Provided t h a t t he s t reet so
to be subs t i tu ted in lieu of Queen-s t reet shall , so far as possible, be set out , formed, and comple ted so as to occupy the site and conform to t he respective measu remen t s described and specified in t he Second Schedule .
| 4. U p o n t h e complet ion and opening of | t he s t ree t so to be |
subs t i tu ted for Queen-s t ree t , t h e whole of t he land now forming t h e
site of Queen-s t reet is hereby declared to be vested in t h e Colonial Treasurer for t he t ime being, freed and discharged from all r igh t s of way and other r ights , whe the r exercisable on or unde r such street, to be he ld by h im for the same estate and purposes as t h e several port ions of l and described in the said F i r s t Schedule are declared to be held by h i m by the second section of this Act.
