190 Churches of Christ, Scientist , Incorporation Act Amendment Act 1982 Preamble. Whereas The Churches of Christ, Scientist, Incorporation Act of 1964 provided for the incorporation of certain Churches of Christ, Scientist, the vesting of real and personal property in each such Church and the filing of certain documentation in the office of the Registrar of Companies and Commercial Acts: And Whereas it is desired that all documentation previously required to be filed in the office of the Registrar of Companies and Commercial Acts now be filed in the office of the Under Secretary, Department of Justice: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Churches of Christ, Scientist, Incorporation Act Amendment Act 1982. (2) In this Act The Churches of Christ, Scientist , Incorporation Act of 1964 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Churches of Christ, Scientist, Incorporation Act1964-1982. 2. Amendment of s. 5. Conditions for incorporation . Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " Registrar of Companies and Commercial Acts " where twice occurring and substituting the words " Under Secretary, Department of Justice " in each case. 3. Amendment of s. 7. Meetings . Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " Registrar of Companies and Commercial Acts " and substituting the words " Under Secretary, Department of Justice ". 4. Transitional . (I) Immediately upon the commencement of this Act, the Commissioner for Corporate Affairs shall transmit to the Under Secretary, Department of Justice at his office all copies of documents filed in his office under the Principal Act and all records therein relating to those documents. (2) The Under Secretary , Department of Justice shall keep in his office all copies of the documents and records transmitted to him pursuant to this section.

Churches of Christ, Scientist, Incorporation Act Amendment Act 1982 191 (3) Every document to which the Principal Act applied, of force and effect. immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall, on and from that commencement, be deemed to have been filed in the office of the Under Secretary, Department of Justice.
