CHRISTMAS ISLAND (REQUEST AND CONSENT).

 

No. 102 of 1957.

An Act to requesst, and consent to, the Enactment by the Parliament of the United Kingdom of an Act enabling the Queen to place Christmas Island under the Authority of the Commonwealth.

[Assented to 13th December, 1957.]

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Christmas Island (Request and Consent) Act 1957.

Commencement.

2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

Request and consent to enactment of United Kingdom Act.
