CHIROPRACTORS AND OSTEOPATHS ACT 1991—

REGULATIONS

(Relating to courses of training at the Royal Melbourne Institute of

Technology, Victoria) NEW SOUTH WALES

HIS Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Act 199 1, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Chiropractors and Osteopaths Regulation 199 1 is amended:

(a) by omitting from the Table to clause 4 the following matter:

Degree of Bachelor of Applied Royal Melbourne
Science (Chiropractic) Institute of
Technology, Victoria

and by inserting instead the following matter:

Degrees of Bachelor of Royal Melbourne
Applied Science (Clinical Institute of
Science), Bachelor of Technology, Victoria
Chiropractic Science

(b)

by omitting from clause 5 (c) the words “a degree of Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy)” and by inserting instead the words “the degrees of Bachelor of Applied Science (Clinical Science), Bachelor of Osteopathic Science”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to give effect to the change of names of the courses of training which are prescribed for registration as a chiropractor or osteopath at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Victoria. The degree of Bachelor of Applied Science (Chiropractic) has been changed to the degrees of Bachelor of Applied Science (Clinical Science), Bachelor of Chiropractic Science. The degree of Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) has been changed to the degrees of Bachelor of Applied Science (Clinical Science), Bachelor of Osteopathic Science.

This Regulation is made under the Chiropractor and Osteopaths Act 1991, including sections 9, 10 and 65 (the general regulation-making power, in particular, section 65 (2) (e)).
