His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Act 1991.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe an additional course of training that is recognised as qualifying a person for registration as a chiropractor in New South Wales and to prescribe a lower fee for restoration of a chiropractor’s or osteopath’s name to the register.

This Regulation is made under the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Act 1991, including sections 9 (a), 18 (6) and 65.

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Amendment
Regulation 1996.

2 Amendment of Chiropractors and Osteopaths Regulation 1991

The Chiropractors and Osteopaths Regulation 1991 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

3 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Schedule 1 Amendments

(Clause 2)

  1. Clause 4 Courses of training: chiropractors

    Insert the following at the end of the table to clause 4:

  1. Clause 14 Application and fee for restoration to register after failing to gay annual roll fee

    Omit “$248” from clause 14 (1). Insert instead “$145”.
