Chiropractors and Osteopaths Amendment (Annual Roll Fee) Regulation 1997

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Act 1991.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to repeal and remake clause 13 of the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Regulation 1991 so as to prescribe the due date and the final date for the payment of the annual roll fee under section 18 of the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Act 1991. The terms the due date and the final date are inserted in section 18 by the amendments made to the Act by the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1996.

in particular, under sections 18 (Annual roll fee) and 65 (the general regulation-making power).

Clause 13 also specifies the amount of the annual roll fee. That amount is and,

not changed.

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Chiropractors and Osteopaths Amendment

(Annual Roll Fee) Regulation 1997.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 28 February 1997.

3 Amendment of Chiropractors and Osteopaths Regulation 1991

The Chiropractors and Osteopaths Regulation 1991 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

4 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Omit the clause. Insert instead:

13 Annual roll fee

(1)

For the purposes of section 18 ( of the Act:

(a)	the prescribed date (the due date) is 31 March, and
(b)	the annual roll fee is $124.

(2)

For the purposes of section 18 (3) of the Act, the
prescribed date (the final date) is 30 June.
