W HEREAS it is expedient to repeal an Act of the Governor, ~reamb~e.

the Legislative Council, and the House of Assembly of South Australia, No. 3 of 1857-8, intituled "An Act to make provision for levying a charge on. Chinese arriving in South Australia"-Be it therefore Enacted, by. the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of 8outh Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:
