This regulation may be cited as the Children’s Services Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1996 . PART 2—AMENDMENT OF ADOPTION OF CHILDREN REGULATION 1988 ˙ Regulation amended 2. This part amends the Adoption of Children Regulation 1988 . ˙ Omission of pt 5 (Adoptions appeals tribunal) 3. Part 5— omit. ˙ Amendment of sch 2 (Fees) 4. Schedule 2, part D, item 1— omit. PART 3—AMENDMENT OF CHILD CARE (CHILD CARE CENTRES) REGULATION 1991 ˙ Regulation amended 5. This part amends the ChildCare(ChildCareCentres)Regulation1991 .

s6 4 s8 Children’s Services Legislation Amendment No. 391, 1996 (No. 1) ˙ Insertion of new s 5A 6. After section 5— insert— ˙ ‘ Prescribed period for making decision ‘ 5A. For section 41 of the Act, the period for making a decision about an application for a licence, or the variation or renewal of a licence, is the period from the day the application is made (the “application day” ) to the day that is 28 days after the application day.’. PART 4—AMENDMENT OF CHILD CARE (FAMILY DAY CARE) REGULATION 1991 ˙ Regulation amended 7. This part amends the Child Care (Family Day Care) Regulation 1991 . ˙ Insertion of new s 33A 8. Part 7, before section 34— insert— ˙ ‘ Prescribed period for making decision ‘ 33A. For section 41 of the Act, the period for making a decision about an application for a licence, or the variation or renewal of a licence, is the period from the day the application is made (the “application day” ) to the day that is 28 days after the application day.’.

This part amends the Children’s Services Regulation 1966 . ˙ Insertion of new s 70 10. After section 69— insert— ˙ ‘ Prescribed period for making decision ‘ 70. For section 143B of the Act, the period for making a decision about a relevant application is the period from the day the application is made (the “application day” ) to the day that is 28 days after the application day.’.
