Regulations under the Children's Flammable Nightwear

I, ROBERT JAMES ELLICOTT, the Minister of State for the Capital Territory, hereby make the following Regulations under the Children's Flammable Nightwear Ordinance 1975.

C H I L D R E N ' S FLAMMABLE N I G H T W E A R REGULATIONS

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Children's Flammable Nightwear Regulations.

2. In these Regulations, " the Ord inance" means the Children's

Flammable Nightwear Ordinance 1975.

3. (1) Part 1 of Australian Standard 1249, being that Part as published on 1 January 1977, is prescribed for the purpose of the defini­ tion of "Category 1 garment " i n sub-section 3 (1) of the Ordinance.

(2) Part 2 of Australian Standard 1249, being that Part as published on 1 January 1977, is prescribed for the purpose of the definition of "Category 2 ga rmen t" in sub-section 3 (1) of the Ordinance.

1. Notified in the Commonwealth of A ustralia Gazette on 14 March 1979.

(3) Part 3 of Australian Standard 1249, being that Part as published on 1 May 1977, is prescribed for the purpose of the definition of "Category 3 ga rmen t" in sub-section 3 (1) of the Ordinance.

4. A classified garment shall be labelled in accordance with the re­ quirements of Australian Standard 1989, being that Standard as published on 1 December 1976.

5. The prescribed method for the purpose of sub-section 10 (2) is the method described in Part 3 of Australian Standard 1176, being that Part as published on 1 January 1977.
