I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Children (Parental Responsibility) Act 1994 do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 13 March 1995 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE EXPLANATORY

NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence provisions of the Children (Parental) Responsibility) Act 1994 relating to the giving of undertakings, counselling and court attendance and the powers of police to remove children from public places and take them to their parents’ residences or care residences or to prescribed places of refuge. The remaining provisions of the Act commenced on 23 December 1994.
