I, the Minister for Justice, in pursuance of section 5 of the Children (Detention
Centres) Act 1987, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to amend the Children (Detention Centres) Order 2010 to remove Emu Plains Juvenile Justice Centre as a detention centre for the purposes of the Children (Detention Centres) Act 1987.

This Order is made under section 5 of the Children (Detention Centres) Act 1987.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Children (Detention Centres) Amendment (Emu
Plains) Order 2013.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Children (Detention Centres) Order 2010

The Children (Detention Centres) Order 2010 is amended by omitting the matter relating to Emu Plains Juvenile Justice Centre from Schedule 1.
