An Act to amend the Children and Young People Act 2008 because of the enactment of the Education and Care Services National Law (ACT) Act 2011

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Children and Young People (Education and Care Services National Law) Consequential Amendment Act 2011.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on the commencement of the Education and Care Services National Law (ACT) Act 2011, section 6.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Legislation amended

    This Act amends the Children and Young People Act 2008.

  4. Application—ch 20
    New section 731 (1) (aa)

    insert

    (aa)by an education and care service within the meaning of the Education and Care Services National Law (ACT); or
