Children and Community Services Amendment Regulations 2025

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Children and Community Services Amendment Regulations 2025.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

• (a)

  regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the regulations — on 1 May 2025.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Children and Community Services Regulations 2006.

4.Regulation 4BA inserted

After regulation 4B insert:

4BA. Prescribed duties (Act s. 124A youth justice worker)

• (1)

  In this regulation —

contact includes any of the following —

• (a)

  any form of oral communication, whether face to face, by telephone or otherwise;

• (b)

  any form of written communication;

• (c)

  any form of electronic communication.

• (2)

  For the purposes of paragraph (a)(vi) of the definition of youth justice worker in section 124A, the duties are any of the following —

  • (a)

    any duty that involves material contact with children;

  • (b)

    supervision of children;

  • (c)

    monitoring of children.
