AN ACT to amend the Child Welfare Act, 19474954.
[Assented to 9th December, 1955.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

(2) In this Act the Child Welfare Act, 1947-1954,
Act No. 66 of 1947 as amended by Acts Nos.
52 of 1950, 16 of 1952, and 73 of 1954,
is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act
may be cited as the Child Welfare Act, 1947-1955.
General
| amendmen | 2. | The principal Act is amended by substituting |
for the word, "Secretary" wherever it appears, the
word, "Director".

3. Section seven of the principal Act is amended
amended.
by adding after the word, "appoint" in line one,
the words, "an Assistant Director,".
s. 20
| amended. | 4. | Section twenty of the principal Act is amended |
by adding after the word, "by" in line two of para-
graph (a), the words, "or against".
| S 34A added. | 5. | The principal Act is amended by adding after |
section thirty-four the following section:—
