1  Name

This instrument is the Child Support Legislation (Exclusion of Courts of Summary Jurisdiction) Proclamation 2017.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under the following:

(a) subsection 99(3) of the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989;

(b) subsection 104(3) of the Child Support (Registration and Collection) Act 1988.

4  Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

5  Jurisdictional restriction

On and after 1 October 2017, proceedings in relation to matters arising under the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989 or the Child Support (Registration and Collection) Act 1988 may not be instituted in, or transferred to, a court of summary jurisdiction in New South Wales mentioned in an item of the following table.
