CHILD SUPPORT (ADOPTION OF
LAWS) AMENDMENT ACT 1994

AN ACT to amend the Child Support (Adoption of Laws)
Act 1990.
[Assented to 9 December 1994.]
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Child Support (Adoption of
Laws) Amendment Act 1994.

Commencement
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it
receives the Royal Assent.
Principal Act
3. In this Act the Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Act 1990*
is referred to as the principal Act.

Purpose of Act
4. The purpose of this Act is to adopt —

| (i) | the Child Support Legislation Amendment Act 1990; |
(ii) the Taxation Laws Amendment Act (No. 3) 1991;
| (iii) | the Child Support Legislation Amendment Act 1992; |
| (iv) | the Child Support Legislation Amendment Act (No. 2) 1992; |
(v) the Corporate Law Reform Act 1992; and
| (vi) | the Insolvency (Tax Priorities) Legislation Amendment Act 1993, |
of the Commonwealth; and

| (b) | the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989 of the Commonwealth as amended, after the principal Act received the Royal Assent, by — | |||||

of the Commonwealth.
Section 3 amended
5. Section 3 (a) of the principal Act is amended by deleting "immediately after the provisions of Part 3 of the Social Security and Veterans' Affairs Legislation Amendment Act (No. 3) 1989 of the Commonwealth came into operation;" and substituting the following —
on 23 June 1993;
Section 4 amended
6. Section 4 (b) of the principal Act is amended by deleting
"immediately after the provisions of Part 2 of the Social Security and Veterans' Affairs Legislation Amendment Act (No. 3) 1989 of the Commonwealth came into operation;" and substituting the following —
on 1 July 1993;
