Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Child Protection (Offenders Prohibition Orders) Act 2004.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to recognise and give effect to certain child protection orders made under Queensland and South Australian legislation that are similar in nature to child protection prohibition orders made under section 5 of the Child Protection (Offenders Prohibition Orders) Act 2004.

This Regulation is made under the Child Protection (Offenders Prohibition Orders) Act 2004, including sections 19 (Recognition of prohibition orders made in other jurisdictions) and 21 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Child Protection (Offenders Prohibition Orders)
Amendment (Corresponding Prohibition Orders) Regulation 2011.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Child Protection (Offenders Prohibition Orders) Regulation 2007

Clause 3 Corresponding prohibition orders

Insert after clause 3 (c):

(d) an order under Part 2 of the Child Protection (Offender Prohibition Order) Act 2008 of Queensland,
(e) an order under section 99AA of the Summary Procedure Act 1921 of South Australia.
