1—Short title
These regulations may be cited as the Chicken Meat Industry (Fees) Variation Regulations 2009.
2—Commencement
These regulations will come into operation on 1 July 2009.
3—Variation provisions
In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Schedule 1—delete the Schedule and substitute:

For a processor that—
(a) processes more than 2 million meat chickens each year
$13 997
(b) processes between 1 million and 2 million meat chickens each year
$9 332
(c) processes less than 1 million meat chickens each year
$4 665

For a grower—
(a) with more than 20 000 m² in area of shed space available for growing meat chickens
$1 049
(b) with shed space available for growing meat chickens of between 8 000 and 20 000 m² in area
$700
(c) with less than 8 000 m² in area of shed space available for growing meat chickens

Note—
As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
