I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Cheques and Payment Orders Act 1986.

After regulation 2 of the Cheques and Payment Orders Regulations, the following regulation is inserted:

Non-bank financial institutions

“2a. For the purposes of the definition of ‘non-bank financial institution’ in subsection 3 (1) of the Act, the following registered corporations are prescribed:

(a) Elders Rural Finance Limited;

(b) Wesfarmers Limited.”.
